A Positive Environmental Impact
The D&S, Ltd. Off-Site Network has eliminated the commute to-and-from an office location for our staff. Through statistical analysis conducted from a company-wide survey in October 2007, the average mileage per employee driven to-and-from an office was reduced by 40 miles per day. With an average of 20 miles per gallon consumption, the total-per-year savings on gasoline equates to 2 gallons per day, or 480 gallons per year, per employee.
As of December 2007, D&S, Ltd. employed 80 personnel, eliminating, as a company, the consumption of 38,400 gallons of gasoline per year.
For every employee hired at D&S, Ltd., there is an additional reduction of 480 gallons of gasoline per year.
A Paperless Process
D&S, Ltd. initiated a company-wide focus on the reduction in the use of paper. We have reduced our
inter-office paper consumption, and general business paper flow by our clients, by 95%. All paper
documentation received is scanned for viewing online, eliminating the use of paper and mail. All paper produced, received or used is recycled.
Office Space Resources
The Off-Site Network eliminates the duplication for heating, lighting,
cooling and other resources, for maintaining office space.
